Farley Road Medical Practice is committed to providing fair, inclusive and accessible healthcare for all patients. We celebrate the diversity of the communities we serve and work to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital or civil partnership status, socio-economic background or any other protected characteristic in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Reducing Health Inequalities
We recognise that some individuals and communities experience poorer access, experience and outcomes in healthcare. We work to identify and reduce these health inequalities through proactive engagement, data and insight, targeted support for vulnerable groups and partnership working across our local health and care system. Our approach aligns with the NHS Core20PLUS5 framework and local Integrated Care System priorities.
Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments
We want our services to be easy to access. To support this, we offer a range of reasonable adjustments including:
- Interpreting and translation services
- Information in accessible formats (large print, easy read and alternative formats on request)
- Assistance for patients with mobility or sensory needs
- Appointment support for carers or advocates
If you require an adjustment to help you access our services, please speak to a member of the team and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Physical Access to the Practice
The building has step-free access through the main entrance. There is disabled parking available on the corner of QueenHill Road for patients with mobility needs. The reception area is equipped with an induction loop for patients who use hearing aids. The practice also has a disabled toilet on site. If you require physical assistance on arrival, please let a member of staff know.
Continuous Improvement
We regularly review patient feedback, complaints, insights and engagement to identify and address inequalities in access, experience and outcomes. We also collaborate with local partners, community organisations and the wider health and care system to help reduce health inequalities and improve population health.
Feedback
We welcome feedback on equality and accessibility. If you have any suggestions or concerns, please get in touch with the practice team by emailing swlicb.farley.admin@nhs.net
